Based on a 1976 shell fully stripped to bare metal and rebuilt with weight reduction paramount, modified to FIA-compliant rear suspension pick-up points for RSR steel arms, coil-overs, front RSR oil cooler and a full cage, coupled with a race-prepared 3.0 RSR engine and transmission, this car must surely have one of the greatest power-to-weight ratios available for any naturally-aspirated 911, let alone a period-correct '70s era FIA-approved RSR. At 358bhp/tonne, this car surpasses even the 911 GT3RS of today, incredible considering the 50 years of development between them. And it does this with no electronic driver aids, no power steering, no servo-assisted brakes and no water-cooling. If a modern GT3RS seems just a little bit boring, or you want to go historic racing with a car that feels 100% authentic to the original, this is the car for you.......
Built for FIA Historic competition, with HTP papers through to 2029 for FIA class GTS 27, eligible for Le Mans Classic, Spa and many other FIA international and MSA national-level events, and with the added benefit of being fully-road legal with UK V5 road registration.
