Please find below details of MCE in-house parts innovations, manufactured initially in-house as one-offs or small production runs for a specific customer requirement or to replace no longer available (NLA) parts. Now available from MCE for those looking for that 'unobtanium part' to complete their specialist project.
(£25.00 shipping)
Custom-made free-flowing open-cell oiled foam filters for Weber, Zenith or Solex carburettors and early-MFI fuel systems. Dyno tested to show no measureable reduction in performance vs open trumpets, yet with production filter levels of dirt ingress protection for a longer engine life. 'Best-of-both-worlds' solution for those looking for ultimate performance from their engine intake system.
(£10.00 shipping)
Special Order 'Black Hatched' Porsche Original Equipment Option 1974-1977.
Available as an option from the factory during the period 1974-1977. If your CoA, build spec or options list states 'Porsche Script on Sides Black Hatched', then this is what you need. Different to the aftermarket solid-black lettering, and no longer available from Porsche. No aftermarket vinyl suppliers were making these so I had a few sets made up to apply to cars going through in-house restoration. I also had a few spare sets made in case anyone else needs some. Sold as a pair to do the LH & RH of the car, one set does one car.
Overall length of each strip is approx 1.8m, i.e. enough excess stripe at either end to lap into the wheelarches.
Height of strip is 90mm.
(£10.00 shipping)
Weld-on brackets to provide additional support to the steering arm with lowered track-rod ends.
Suitable for welding to standard damper strut tubes or coilover modified suspension strut tubes on all 911's 1965-'89.
Sold as a pair.
The arms are laser-cut from 5mm mild steel for welding on to the lower part of the suspension strut tube, providing reinforcement to the spindle arm above. Typically required on raised-spindle or otherwise lowered suspension cars with tie-rod height lowered relative to the spindle to reduce bump-steer.
(£10.00 shipping)
These collars are installed between the track-rod inner mount and the rack bar to limit maximum steering angle range lock-to-lock.
Ideal for preventing tyre rub against the inner arches on full-lock if using oversize wheel/tyre combinations and/or non-standard steering geometry.
Tuneable sizes also available as a special order to adjust the steering limit further if increased restriction is required.
Sold as a pair.
(£5.00 shipping)
Accelerator pump cams for Weber carburettors. Come as stock with the standard 'hatchet' factory cam profiles, but can be used as blanks and tuned as desired eg for more progressive on-throttle fuelling at part load.
Sold as a pair.
More parts always added as stock changes. Please get in touch if there's something particular you are searching for......
